Magnificent was all I can say right after reading the book.
SJ Maas never failed to impress me.
Rhysand is challenging, he's taunting, and yes, an asshole with a heart and compassion. He's mysterious and oh god, sexy. I love Rhys and Feyre moments, especially when Rhys gets on Fey's nerve. And Fey's anything she wants to be when she's with him. He helped her grow into a better fae. I find it a bit of dull when it comes to Feyre and Tam's moments. I mean, I can truly feel the heat of the fi ...more

Okay, so as I'm currently in Australia and I only have very limited data to spend on internet each month (I cri) I have a lot of time to read haha. I liked this book, I thought it was a lot more enjoyable than the first one, Feyre is a much more enjoyable main character in this book then in the previous one. The story is also more interesting, as the whole situation with amarantha was a bit convoluted in my opinion. What I didn't like was how cliché the situation with Rhysand and Tamlin is, it's

SJM, why do you have to write such amazing but wrecking books?!?! I'm deeply in love and heartbroken and mad right now! I don't think I can wait for another year just to get the next book My heart just couldn't handle it! I'm a huge trainwreck right now, and it's both the best and worst feeling after finishing a book this good!
It is definitely a thousand - maybe even a million times better than the first book, and it was a more than 600 pages worth of emotional stress!! FEYRE!! RHYSAND!! MY BAB ...more

I can't believe it, but this book is somehow ten times better than the first?? Amazing storyline, amazing character developers and reveals, amazingly delicate handling of tender issues. Just all over amazing. AND FEMINIST FUCK YEAH

Wow wow wow. I honestly don't even know what to say right now! This was so much better than book one. It was so complex and thoroughly thought out. The book just took a huge turn from what I was expecting and I loved it. I'm trash for this series & Rhysand omg. Thank goodness I own book three already because I need to pick that up right away!

Wow..... I have been blown away! ACOTAR was not as good as the hype but ACOMAF was amazing from start to finish I couldn't put it down!!! And to think I wasn’t going to give it a try because of the failure of ACOTAR.... Now I need the next one in my life..

4.5/5. Such a huge improvement from the slog that was the first book. Ill have to admit at the end of ACOTAR I did see Tamlin as the love interest and Rhysand as the enemy but this book takes that idea and completely turns it on its head, I am in love with Rhys! Mass' writing is as compelling as ever and the new characters in this instalment were fantastic. I loved Velaris as a setting and seeing Feyre's capabilities as a High Fey was fascinating. Really enjoyed how Feyre's sisters were incorpor

2nd read (never finished it originally in 2016)
spoilers:
there were a lot of holes in the story for a book that is close to 700 pages. tamlin disappearing for majority of the book felt weird and wasn’t explained until the very last few pages. really liked the character development with rhys but this felt too much like a howl/twilight fanfiction. also it reads like YA but has rated R scenes in it which doesn’t sit right. i plan on finishing the series still because the story was still really ...more

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! This is my new favorite book of all time! I liked A Court of Thorns and Roses, but this by far outshines it. Sarah J. Maas has out done herself. I cannot wait for the next book to come out! There is so much more I want to say about this book, but words are escaping me right now! I cannot recommend this book enough! Please just read it!
