Seemingly simple, but an excellent primer in how to help young children interact with books. The questions on the page are just the questions a parent should be asking their child while sharing stories.
Suitable for those under 3 or so.
Very simple, good way to build the idea of story and for some vocabulary.

A can't miss interactive read aloud for the preschool set. I especially like the "Tomie de Paolo-ish" house.

Simple pictures identify parts of a house and things around it.
Maybe more of a 3.5, since the questions make it interactive, but I expect more of Henkes.

This is a deceptively simple but engaging and interactive book. Children are asked to engage with questions throughout the book helping to reinforce and practice basic literacy and math concepts all around the concept of a house/home. This really is a brilliant book.
