Big things, in-between things and small things, the title says it all.
I read this twice and know that I am still missing many of the details in this picture book that could be given to and/or shared with the youngest readers (and want to be readers) who are looking for a chapter book or be used as a story starter for creative writing.

A thoughtful picture book with clever paper engineering that quietly explores the concept of big, small, and in-between. The text and illustrations are insightful in capturing heartfelt observations for each concept and work well independently, but are even more poignant when seen altogether. This is the type of book that is meant to be read carefully and often. A very interesting book to ponder. I especially enjoyed pondering over the in-between:

This one didn’t quite click for me. The illustrations are lovely and the format of the folded pages is interesting (although probably not the best choice for a library book), but the text seemed to be trying a bit too hard to be lyrical.

I thought this book was beautiful. I knew it would be since it was illustrated by Daniel Miyares. Such a great invitation for kids to write about the big, the small, and the in-between. Our library called this a "concept book".

Very nice to read and look at, but
1. The foldout pages won't last long in a library
2. The text is a bit too abstract for my kids
Although I guess I wouldn't have to read very single page for them to get the gist?
