This is a wonderful novel told from the perspective of a magnificent dog named Enzo. Enzo is a philosopher who expects to be reincarnated as a man, believes in karma, sees how energy follows thought, and above all, is capable of profound love. He understands everything he hears, and decides the only thing separating dogs from humans is an opposable thumb and the ability to speak. He knows that what connects dogs and humans are their hearts. Enzo has a wonderful heart.

I don't know why I never wrote a review for this book, but maybe because I love it so much I don't know what to say! I LOVED this book. It is so unique, so wrought with emotion, I could not put it down. Kudos, Garth Stein!
