Book club read for 1/18/2025
3.5 stars for this surprisingly comforting read. Sweet but not saccharine. I think reading it another time it might not have worked for me; but here and now when helping others seems so important, I loved the experience. Books about books are always very special.

A book for book lovers with a library and several book titles mentioned. I was happy that many of the book titles they mention I had already read - with only one being added to my TBR. This is a book about friendships, relationships, growth, family, and dying.

The novel was about several lonely characters who were brought together in their attempt to take care of an old man. This book was also meant for book lovers but if you haven't read Remains of the Day or Joy Luck Club, beware of spoilers. I have read them and I definitely enjoyed reading the characters' discussion on those. I liked this book overall. ...more

Really enjoyed, thought about characters even away from reading book, but ending was just a little to quaint to be a 5 star book.
Entertaining enough for commuting, this helped me sleep on a plane trip. Cute but not very meaningful.
Very enjoyable read.
