When I started this book, the beginning left me thinking "what's all the hype about". Once I continued reading and got Kyrian back story I knew what it was all about. I fell in love. Kyrian is such a sweet, caring male. I actually shed a tear for him. What that treachorous wife did to him! I want to kill her myself. He was more than deserving of Amanda's love and I was happy that he found her. I will definitely be continuing with this series, I just can't wait to get to the infamous Acheron book ...more

I think book is interesting for historical reasons. It is an early paranormal romance book and I think it shows the line between romance and paranormal romance very well.
That being said, I was really disappointed with it. It was waaaay too much like just a generic romance novel for me. I like a little sex with in my story, as opposed to this book which had just a little story with all the sex (stuff).
The writing was also incredibly bad, with loads of repetition and inconsistent plot points.

Night Pleasures is a good book to read if you're just starting out with the paranormal genre. Simple, quick and pretty quirky.

Amanda Deveraux is an accountant in a family of witches, vampire hunters and psychics. She likes her life normal and supernatural-free. Until she gets mistaken for her twin vamp slaying sister and gets handcuffed to a gorgeous blond vampire. Kyrian of Thrace was a fearsome general who fought the Roman empire. Now he's a Dark Hunter - a soulless creature of the night fight

Book 2 in her "vampire" series. Very good, great characters, fun world to get lost in! Basically, a Dark-Hunters are protectors of humans. They are usually very old (coming from ancient Summer, Greece, Rome, etc.) who were murdered and before they died swore vengeance by evoking Artemis' name. The goddess grates their wish (of vengeance on whomever they believed wronged them) if they become Dark-Hunters, immortal, and hunt the evil Damons who kill and suck the souls out of humans (and anything e ...more

If I could give this book more than five stars I would. I know I said that about Fantasy Lover but when it's a great read, it's a great read. I fell love with Kyrian, what a wonderful vampire. And I admired Amanda strength and determination. They were definitely destined to be together and both were so strongly attracted to each other and didn't fight as some characters do. Fast paced, pulled me in right from the first page. I highly recommend this book. And Acheron appearance in this book was g ...more

This is the story of Kyrian & Amanda, and it's the first introduction in to the world of the Dark Hunters. We meet a lot of characters and visit a lot of places that will become important or play bigger roles as the books continue, but it manages not to feel like a set up book. I was engaged from the first paragraph. ...more

This isn't the first of the series, but it's the first of the Dark Hunter series that is about a Dark Hunter. These books are a mix of Urban Fantasy and Romance. Very Erotic, not for the prudish. ...more
