I think I may have to buy this series and do a re-read. I enjoyed the fourth installment in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series, but I also felt like I missed out on some aspects because of my hazy recollections of the supporting cast.
Cat and Bones are, of course, unforgettable. But the interactions between them in Destined for an Early Grave left me wishing I could remember more from the times in previous books when their love was all-conquering and they were happy together. But then again, ...more

I liked this book, but not as much as the others in the series. This book focused mainly on Cat and Bones and the inner vampire relationships and politics. I missed seeing Cat work with her team, but now that she quit I know that won't happen.
I was surprised to find out at all the manipulating that Mencheres did to basically help himself. I loved seeing the interaction between Vlad and Cat. The scenes with them were cracking me up. I can see them being a best buddy type of friendship, which woul ...more

This was one that I didn't get into quite a quickly as some of the other but once it got rolling it was great. I have to admit that at times I wanted to slap Cat silly for not trusting Bones and even though I knew that they weren't spliting up, I had moments when I could feel Cat's pain.
Loved Vlad and how he said that he wasn't interested in her as anything more than a friend, you could feel how lonely he is and how much he cares for Cat. So glad that Gregor is dead. I think that it's interesti ...more

Yeah...so I went through the emotional ringer on this one! One minute I laughed..the next I cried...I was so angry I wanted to hit something and then torn with greif the next...then all of a sudden I got the warm fuzzies. The conflict was almost personal to me...I've bonded so much with these characters It feels like I went through it all myself!

I love Cat and Bones...but I adore them now! This book was an emotional roller coaster and I was amazed at how toppsy turvy things got. In addition to the great story, I really enjoyed how much we got to see Spade and Mencheres...and Vlad...I get the biggest kick out of Vlad being included!

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! I stayed up to 5:00am reading this book. This series has become one of my favorites and I can't wait to see what Jeaniene has in store for Cat & Bones next!
