Book 1 in the Fever series.
3 ½ stars instead of the whole 4 simply because a few times I thought the story lulled a little too often.

I couldn't really get into this one which is a bummer because I really enjoyed the premise and the appearance of faeries. Despite the interesting mystery blurb, the story felt like territory that has been retread before and I found myself comparing Mackayla to Sookie Stackhouse a lot in the way she's portrayed as a prim and proper southern belle. Although we meet an interesting mix of characters, none really left an impression or really made me want to keep reading to find out what happens. I ch

Mac goes to Dublin to find her sister's kilelr. Only what she finds is going to shatter her world. She is a Sidhe seer and sees the Fae. She is caught up in events way beyond her understanding. She has the help of Barrons but he also is using her for his own ends.

This is a definite stick-with-it series. I like this book well enough, but wasn't overly wowed by it, however the plot itself and world-building where interesting enough that I wanted to read the other 3 Fever books and boy am I glad I did. But I digress. This is book one and we meet Mackayla "Mac" Lane who is an early 20's pretty blonde from the south who turns out to a very powerful fairy seer. She comes to Ireland to find out who murdered her sister who was also a fairy seer. To be quite fran

This story is about MacKayla Lane looking for her sister's killer. She goes to Dublin, Ireland where her sister was killed. She meets Jerico Barrons who decides to help her not get killed by the many "others" out there. It was a good read and it went pretty quickly. I will be looking into more of Ms. Moning's books.

Great world building! I was diappointed that there wasn't a love interest but I got over it. I love books with women who kick a**. It took awhile for her to do it but I hope the rest of the books in the series deliver.

Trashy fluff. Still a fun read, but was expecting a bit more raciness considering the trashiness. Got to the end of hte book and thought "wheres the sex?"
