I wish I'd been a review that loved this one but, sadly, I just didn't enjoy it. I thought this would be a fun story of girl thieves, stealing from the rich and helping the poor. Instead, it was a war between 2 women - one who felt wronged by the other. And the thieves, they stole pretty furs, stockings and undergarments - to sell and. . .use it to hurt others, bribe and blackmail other women and. . .just all around do nothing good with it. I don't really know how to review this book to be honest. There was no murder, no who-dun-it, no mystery. And because of that I don't really know how to classify my thoughts. It was just a really good historical fiction. It kept my interest, I was invested in the story, I enjoyed the characters. It is a good book in my opinion. There were definitely a few surprises along the way to help the story move along, but overall, I just thought it to be a very strong, character-driven historical fiction ...more
