I enjoyed this book a lot, found the history and family dynamics interesting and poignant. However, I felt it suffered from too many perspectives and storylines, some of which I liked more than others. Cecily’s and Jasmin’s stories were most intriguing, plus their stories meshed well. Abel’s story was too violent for me, but perhaps most realistic. I wished that Jujube’s storylines was fleshed out more. A good debut which had me turning pages.
