Cassandra is every publisher's dream. Fast writing that pulls you in and sells so well, stories interweaving within series so one feels like you have to read them ALL to know all the details, maddening, but a wonderful marketing strategy. This ended with a lovely bow atop everyone's stories and not so subtle hints of where the loose ends would lead--another probably best selling series.

You guys know that I'm a huge fan of Cassie's, so I can't even begin to describe my level of anxiety in reading this final Mortal Insturments' story. Let's just say that using Spinal Tap's 1-10 amp scale, I hit 11.
I'm going to assume everyone's read the first 5 TMI books, so SPOILER WARNING, I may talk about things that happened in those, but I solemnly swear that I will not spoil City of Heavenly Fire for you. What I will say is that Cassie left ...more

I also loved the crossovers of the Clockwork Princess characters. I was really hoping for that and Clare did not disappoint. I did feel that she could have cut about 100 pages out of the book though. She was setting up for her next

A satisfying conclusion to the series. Can't wait for the Dark Artifices. I want more shadowhunters because if you've read this book, you'll know that it isn't over yet. Words just wouldn't be enough to describe what I feel about this book right now. Scratch that. I meant this whole series!

This was everything I hoped for an then some. There were things that tied back to other things in past books that at the time I just considered and extraneous detail, creative fluff or just typical of the character but in the end when it all came together it was important on a larger scale. I am blown away how authors can plan these little things and then bring it all together across several books. I would love to see Ms. Clare's outlines for this series and the prequel.
