Eugene Seaich's THE FAR-OFF Land (An Attempt At a Philosophical Evaluation of the Hallucinogenic Drug Experience) is a gem of a book which is short enough to be read in a day and with enough substance to feed the reader's head and soul for a lifetime. In 1959, my grandfather Eugene Seaich penned a remarkable book that I had the privilege to self-publish. It wasn't until 2000, when my mother handed me a copy of his autobiography, that I fully grasped the extraordinary life he led. Eugene Seaich was a man of immense intellect and curiosity, holding three Ph.D.s and two master's degrees in German literature, philosophy, musicology, the fine arts, and pharmacology.
