I found this book to be quite moving.

Concerning why it has been banned...I think there are a lot of sensitive topics that the author touches upon. She doesn't go into detail and much of it is implied. Everything from racism to social inequality to domestic abuse is addressed. Sadly, the things she writes about is the harsh reality for too many.

I found this to be a complex book that is thought provoking and well-written. Each vignette is brief and yet packed with so much meaning.
