I went into this book with a blind eye and an open mind. I left it with a heavy heart and a swirling brain.
The material in this book is heartbreaking to say the least. Child abuse, rape, incest, psychological, mental and physical abuse, race discrimination, animal cruelty, the exploitation of women and more fill the pages of this short novel. Unfortunately, all the ongoings in this book have been someone's reality. It's a lot to process and contains a great deal to think about. ...more
