it was actually an interesting sad little tale about a woman trying to find herself. Too bad I read the intro before reading the book as it gave the end away. It was, however, interesting also to know that the authoer suffered quite a bit in her time for publishing this book since it was questionable content at the time (maybe not as bad as Madam Bovary but still quite "unlady-like" main character. ...more
