4★s for a splendidly light, romantic Christmassy story with a nice blend of suspend-disbelief and real-life heartstring tugs. Short and satisfying.
Hollie has been jilted almost at the altar (2 weeks before), but only because she has sprung her fiancé (boyfriend of 8 years!) when seeing a text message from what is obviously a girlfriend. No spoiler here. It’s how the story opens.

I really liked this lovely little novella. Hollie escapes Australia after calling off her wedding and uses the ticket that was supposed to be for her honeymoon to Canada. There she is determined to have a good time with lots of things to do. Unfortunately her deadbeat ex-fiancée cancels her hotel booking so she is forced to find alternative accommodation in Niagara.
