Another beautiful story from the pen of Sophie Green, it is always lovely to spend time with her wonderful characters, I love getting to know them, this book takes us to The Sunshine Coast in Queensland in Noosa Heads, it is 1987 and we meet Cynthia, Lorraine, Elizabeth and Kathy as they join together to help bring gardens back to life and perhaps themselves as well, along with Barb and Shirl this is a fabulous story.

An easy-reading, feel-good story about a year in four women's lives, 1987-8. Cynthia, Lorraine, Kathy & Elizabeth all come together through the Sunshine Garden Society, a group of volunteers on the Sunshine Coast who help gardens in need, & the people who grow them. The four women undergo momentous events in their lives, together giving support to their friends, & accepting it when in need. There are some excellent secondary characters, too.

Noosa Heads, 1987: Cynthia, Lorraine, Elizabeth and Kathy came from different places, backgrounds, and challenges. Cynthia returned from LA after a divorce to reconnect with her pregnant 19-year-old daughter, Lorraine was stuck in her day-to-day life and her husband’s business, Elizabeth was grieving her husband’s death and Kathy was mending her broken heart.
