They are sci-fi/ fantasy genre, set in a futuristic world with cyborgs, humans, and people living on the moon, with a twist on classic fairytale stories. The teen (female) protagonists in each book all have strong mechanical/ tech skills and this plays a large part in the storyline of the series. (I get annoyed that each of the girls ends up with a love interest though.... so unnecessary! But I can possibly forgive that because the rest of the book and storyline does overall have empowering themes for teen girls)
