Dirty Deeds by SE Jakes, is the first in her Dirty Deeds series that will probably run along with her Hell or High Water series.

Sweet mother of all things dark! Never in a million years did I expect to read what I just read. I have to admit that I honestly had a whole different book in my head. You know what I mean, we readers do it all the time imagine what we THINK will happen. LoL.

Well imagine how I felt when I read most of this and then the ending. I looked like a fish trying to gulp water, while laying on a sandy beach. *Shakes head*

SE is one of those authors that should be hailed as a great, but isn't because what she writes isn't accepted by all. Her writing style is amazingly realistic and you can feel the emotion leaking from the pages. She can also turn a cliffhanger into a thing of beauty. She is one of the greats too me, no matter what.

So on to the book, right?

Dirty Deeds is about the non-existing but building relationship of Mal & Cillian. Both are characters we are very familiar with, but don't know much about, which makes the book such a hot commodity, I am very confident that it will fly off ebook shelves.

Mal has taken over the assignment of uncovering just who Cillian is and who he is working for and its all going according to plan, the usual spy shit... until one night at a bar. Mal and the team (Prophet, King, Ren, and Hook) want answers, but it goes so much deeper for Mal. Its personal on a level that can make a man thrive off vengeance alone and some things can't be undone.

Cillian is the unknown factor. Nobody knows what his game is or what he has to do with anything. They all just know he is involved some way, some how. It wasn't clear to me why he was so involved until the end, and then it explained so much, while also opening the next book up to some hellish mental shit to possibly take place. You think he is the villain, but he is just as much a victim. *Whispers* don't tell him, I called him that.

The saying "you never really know someone until you've talked to them," comes to mind when I read this book, because we learned a lot about both of them in just 88 pages and none of it was crammed in or seemed like filler words and back-thoughts. There is an intimacy that goes along with the interaction between the two of them, that they don't really hide from, mostly because its not face to face. You can tell they compliment each other in the way that lovers who are meant to be together do. Understanding of what they mutually need and want sexually, threads them together tighter than any bindings could.

Dirty Deeds was a page turner of a book, that threw a lot twists at you, faster that you could make sense of without going back and reading again. SE made it seems as if I was peeking into something that was actually happening and I had to try really hard not to get caught spying - ironic when you think about it. LoL

Book Pages and Dripping Ink gives SE JAKES "DIRTY DEEDS" five black roses and a must read stamp of approval. But only after you have read all the books before it, that way you aren't lost.

5 I can't decide who I love more in this series stars!!

First: Lets all take a moment and appreciate the HOTNESS of this cover... the lift of the eyebrow, the sexy tattoos, the smirk cause yes that's a smirk.

We get introduced to Cillian and Mal in the LTG series. We get glimpses, and teases about them that makes you wanna learn more. Enter Book 1 of Dirty Deeds.

Dirty Deeds is no longer a part of Hell or High Water series. It's a series on it's own and I already see visions of the way they did The Flesh Cartel series is chapter books, which will suck. 聽This was really very little more than world building - setting ground work. The sex doesn't connect because these two characters really had no chemistry. Most of their connection was through sexting which was a little hotter than their actual sex but not much. I already know bits of how this is going from now on because of Daylight Again and I know that this are awkward between them but fuck I need to know more!

Poor, poor Mal ... In love with the guy who almost killed him and left him without being able to speak. It broke my heart when he told Tom but actually seeing him find out and his reaction... Fuck.
