Harry Dresden is back in this 8th book in the Dresden Files series. Once again Harry has a lot of supernatural problems on his plate: the War between the Red Court and the White Council continues, there is black magic somewhere in Chicago, and he gets a phone call from a dear friend's daughter asking him to bail her out of jail. Eight books into the series, I've finally switched over to the fabulous audiobook versions of these tales. I don't know if it was Marsters' masterful reading or the book itself, but this is my favorite of this series so far. I'll definitely look to continue the series in audio format. ...more
