What Members Thought

There was a lot going on in this book, but I like when there are a lot of threads to work with, especially in a series when I know there are more books coming to flesh them out. I felt like we really got an inside look at Sookie more in this one & I am loving her friendship with Amelia (which I will admit I thought was just one of the dead end threads Ms. Harris so often weaves into these stories.)

Another dose of Sookie Stackhouse, another quick and relaxing light read. The author adds more of the supes with each book, and ends this one with a potentially interesting new character. If you stop to think too hard about this series, it's just silly - but that probably applies to most, and this is no 8 after all. A number of loose ends get tied up, supernatural beings fight and die, relatives appear, Sookie describes her clothing, various hot male characters (not all human) move in and out of

Sookie has arrived home safe from the Vampire summit thanks to borrowing Frannie’s car. However things in Louisiana are changing fast for both the Were and the Vampire Community. Hostile takeovers are being attempted and to top it all off Sookie has a lot of personal issues to deal with as well.
The one thing I will say for this novel is I thought there were a lot of subplots which for me took away a little from some of the more important story lines, like the Vampire take over.

These books don't quite grab me as much as they once did but they're still enjoyable.
