The ghost of Michael Macklin is said to be haunting room 707 at Lion Park Hotel in London. The story is broken into three different parts and in each part we learn a little bit more of what happened to him on the day he died (He was involved in a love triangle). Although the plot sounds suspenseful, the book really reads like a romance novel. Many other GR readers enjoyed this book but I felt it was just okay and I give it 2 stars.
I expected something completely different of this book, but was disappointed and found it to be a despressing foray into essentially the worst times in three different women's lives. I usually veer away from Oprah's Book Club picks, but I thought this one had looked interesting, unfortunately it appears I need to stay away.

Loved it, another great Hoffman story. I really enjoyed that it was set in 3 different decades and could've been read front to back or back to front. Amazing how the characters all intertwined.

It's a mystical book involving blue heron, angels etc. Characters are complex, story involves 3 women who are in love with the wrong men. One character in the story who is quite troubled renews her faith by her Third Angel. A good read.
