This is a steampunk young adult novel, and the premise is that time is actually controlled by clocks in towers placed in every town. If something goes wrong with a clock in a particular town, time gets messed up there. It turns out that each clock tower has a spirit. It's a fun story, and the characters are intriguing.

This is a good read and the matter of time is new concept for me but it had one problem and that is it dragged at times.
