I have had this on request from the library for 8 weeks and it was OK - thats the best i can say. An DCI who is hired and suspended more times than i have had hot dinners, a superior who doesn't want to trouble the waters, an equal who just wants to score points and a convoluted story line to eke it all out. It was an easy read but didn't really engage me

Oooooh...I like this guy. He reminds me a bit of Stuart McBride. With a few American authors thrown in. This first novel was great. I fell for every red herring out there and still couldn’t put my finger on the killer until it was revealed. It could have plausibly been so many of them! Forward and on to the next one in the series.
