I love Nora Roberts. But I put off reading this one for a while because I so hated the way the first book of the series ended. I should have just never bothered. Unfortunately, I was much more interested in the adults and stories in New Hope (10% of the story) than I was in super speshul Mary Sue Fallon and her ceaseless chanting (the other 90%). This book was better than the first one, looking forward to the next.
I absolutely devoured the first in this series but have to admit to being disappointed by this second installment. It felt drawn out and had great stretches of time in the narrative where the action seemed to be on hold. I think it is a common problem with second books of trilogies which feel a bit like place holders for the resolutions to come in book 3. I am sure Book 3 will again draw me in but at this point am not minded to go hunting it down. I feel a 3 star rating is a mite generous but it
