This is probably my favorite book of the year. The book traces the story of William Kamkwamba, the child of a subsistence farmer in Malawi who, after being forced to drop out of school because his family could not afford the school fees, decided to build a windmill. The book and the life of Mr. Kamkwamba are so inspiring and incredible. Watch his appearance on The Daily Show here:
