I鈥檓 definitely a fan of Sarah Silverman, so I could not wait to get my hands on this book and read it from beginning to end. It was everything I had hoped for and more. It was filled with her usual sense of humour, bathroom jokes and poking fun at her, but what I enjoyed the most and was not expecting, was the look at who Sarah Silverman really is and how she became a Stand up Comedian. I will say this, the girls got spunk and some incredible inner strength, to go through some of the mortifying I鈥檓 definitely a fan of Sarah Silverman, so I could not wait to get my hands on this book and read it from beginning to end. It was everything I had hoped for and more. It was filled with her usual sense of humour, bathroom jokes and poking fun at her, but what I enjoyed the most and was not expecting, was the look at who Sarah Silverman really is and how she became a Stand up Comedian. I will say this, the girls got spunk and some incredible inner strength, to go through some of the mortifying experiences she had as a child and youth. I learned a lot about Sarah and have to say, I like her even more after having read this book, and can understand why she pokes fun at herself so much now, 鈥渂eat others too it, before they can make fun of you鈥�.

She seems to have an incredibly supportive family and I enjoyed the fact that this book was not used to trash her upbringing or whine about how horrible she was treated by family and how life sucks etc... It get鈥檚 tiring reading about people who complain about everything.

It was very interesting to read about some of the situations she has gone through behind the scenes of comedy clubs, and the writing process for shows such as SNL and 鈥淭he Sarah Silverman Show鈥�. I also enjoyed reading about the relationships and friendships she has formed over the years with other comedians; it was amazing to see who was just starting out in the comedy clubs around the same time as her.

The photographs in the book where a great touch as it was nice to see some old photo鈥檚 of Sarah as a child. I also liked being able to put a face to the person she was talking about. I am impressed that she managed to get the penis shot published *laughing*

That is one of the other things I really enjoyed about this book, the copies of e-mails back and forth between her and the publisher about what she can and can鈥檛 do, the name of the book and so on. Quite funny! I love that she does not let herself be pushed around.

Including some of the hate mail she receives, was also quite eye opening. I was in a bit of shock to see how many ignorant people are actually out there in the world. Scary I tell you!

This was a highly entertaining read that I could not put down.

If you are a fan of Sara Silverman, you will love her memoir. It was a rare look at how she has felt about all the controversy that has followed her in the past few years and a bit of history about her childhood that shaped who she is today.
I found myself laughing out loud and appreciating her honest, but funny, observations about her life, her comedy, and pee (not to mention poop).
