Do you ever just read a book and then realize you just read the entire thing without really realizing it? That was this book.
Simple beauty...
In it's simplest form this is a story of learning to understand your world as you grow up and your place in it. How to deal with the emotions that are so new and old to you AND acceptance in many forms.
If you read young adult, I completely recommend reading this! ...more

This month (May), the book club’s theme for its book discussion was Young Adult. The selected book was Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Such a beautifully written story of two kids growing into young adults and discovering the world and who they are. I want to write more, but I am still basking in the glow of the ending of this book. This was a beautiful story; I really loved it. I fell in love with the characters in this book. I love Ari. I love Dante.
I was getting the feels all over the place while reading this book, and there were a few times I had to pause because I was so invested and couldn't bear to see what happened. A sure sign of a good book. ...more
