Loved it. Another quick and compelling read, like the first novel. Will be moving onto the third novel shortly, rather than waiting so long like I did with this one.

Additional thoughts in the spoiler tag, mostly as a way to remind myself what I liked/didn't like. Read at your own risk.

Firstly, I don't remember what happened in book 1! Only that I enjoyed it and can vaguely recall the ending. Even as events in that book were referred to in this book, all we needed to know was that they were catastrophic and things were about to go even worse.

We also get another fabulous female character, the big and touch Bobbi Draper. I hope that these are characters who continue to have presence in the rest of the series. I enjoyed the first book of this series; I adored this one. I'm excited to read more books in this universe. Maybe I'll even watch the tv show.

Definitely like this one better than Leviathan-- the characters, the plot, the story arc. Have a few bones to pick which I'll elaborate on in a longer review when I'm not on my phone, but overall I liked this lots and am moving smoothly on to the 3rd installment. ...more
