This was quite a slow book, which I guess is something you have to expect with this style of book, but I also found myself wanting to violently shake the characters at times!

This was a big struggle to me; I could not deal with more than 3-4 chapters a day so it took me a long white to finish. Not only was it a big & thick book but also the fact that I just did not care a fig for any of the characters bar one. I suffer through skim-reading over other characters to get to ONE endearing character. She is, however, not only endearing to me but to everyone in the book.
