Although Ligotti is often compared to Lovecraft, these pieces by Thomas Ligotti are only Lovecraftian in spirit. Expect no appearances of Cthulhu and his star-spawn here. Ligotti’s is a unique voice. What they do have in common are certain “psycho-spiritual� concepts. Was suggested to me as similar to H. P. Lovecraft, but felt a lot closer to Clive Barker in my opinion -- not that Ligotti needs to be compared with anyone, his stuff is strong enough in it's own right.
