+Definitely one of my fave Nicholas Sparks books!
+Nicholas Sparks is usually way too detailed which makes his books boring for me. Dear John was simple and straight to the point. It flowed nicely.
+The characters were likable. Savannah would be someone I'd be friends with :-p
-I felt like Savannah and John fell in love way too fast. It felt like they didn't have enough time together in order to establish a serious relationship.

I had mixed feelings about this Sparks novel. It certainly wasn't my favorite, but it definitely has points which stood out to me. Overall, I would say it was on par for most of his works. ...more
