I read this book (again) recently because I wanted to catch up before I saw the movie. Well, after finishing it I decided I didn't want to see the movie.
I enjoyed the book very much, but when I cry over an elementary read, I know I'll cry at a movie. i loved this one upon my recent re-read just as much as i remember loving it when i first read it in the 1970s. now i want to watch the movie version.
