Fast paced, intriguing book with interesting premise. I found numerous connections to the past, and as History teacher, I enjoyed that. Once I finished the first, I was into the second of the series as soon as the first was put down.
Great characters and interesting plot.
I enjoyed the connections to the gladiatorial games, the use of the hours of the clock, and the use of time. The descriptions of the change in appearance were very well done. Well worth the read!
