Often Scholastic gets their titles into bookfairs before the trade copyright date. It would still be eligible.





Have read Some Kind of Courage (particularly exciting read for boys) and Pax (theme is foremost, to the detriment of character and plot), have Paper Wishes up next. Look forward to Rayme Nightingale.

Scholastic has sometimes released books sooner than the publication date - not sure how or why! :)

Just read Paper Wishes, which I thought was spot on in its depiction of a very unhappy little girl forced to move to an internment camp for Japanese Americans.
Also read The Charmed Children....which was good, but left too many plot holes to be filled with telling not showing.
