Ilsen What a concept. I’m actually doing this on time! XD I was going to try to pick myself but it’s really hard so I will name my top 5. Hope you enjoy!

1. The Secret History The Secret History by Donna Tartt - This has become my new all time favorite! It’s so unsettling and it unravels in such a masterful way. Honestly, the short synopsis tells you how much you really need to know but I think it’s such a good literary fiction mystery. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

2. Once Upon a K-Prom Once Upon a K-Prom by Kat Cho - This was definitely such a cute romance! I love friends to lovers and also I recently got into K-Pop so I also really loved that element as well. For me, it was the perfect blend of the two and I enjoyed my time this one.

3. Legendborn Legendborn (Legendborn, #1) by Tracy Deonn - This book was MIND BLOWING! I love the world behind this and it kinda reminds me of Shadowhunters a bit. I also really appreciated the grief representation in this as well and I love the characters as well. I need to get to the second book but I definitely this is such a strong start to this urban fantasy series!

4. Orange: The Complete Collection, Volume 1 Orange The Complete Collection, Volume 1 by Ichigo Takano - I finally binged this manga and it was so good!! It is very sad though as it deals with the topic of mental health and suicide, so it’s very touchy. I think this will definitely lead to some discussions but the core of this is friendship and second chances. It is very good though even if it’s heartbreaking.

5. Garlic and the Vampire Garlic and the Vampire by Bree Paulsen - Unlike the manga I just recommended, this one is full of all the cozy vibes and it will make you so happy! I love the cozy vegetable family and how supportive of they are to each other. I definitely recommend this for all the wholesome feels! Also I believe it has very good anxiety rep.

I used a random number picker to decide which 2 to add to our list and it picked 3 and 4 which funnily enough are the two I’m interested in reading!

Haha I’m so proud of you for doing it on time! It bodes well for a new year of reading!

It actually is really hard to pick just 2 books! I used a random number picker to choose 2 out of your 5 and it picked 2 and 5.

I’ve actually read the Garlic graphic novel and it was cute! I quite enjoyed it and the art was lovely. Also the Orange manga!! Have you watched the anime? I started watching it a while ago and it was pretty good but I felt it kind of dragging so I might read the manga instead because the concept seems really cool.

THERE’S ANIME??? I didn’t know that. Now I want to try to watch it. Highly recommend the manga series though! There are two complete collection of volumes and the author released some other extra volumes that I want to read. But two complete collections are just enough.

Also side note, I just wanted to say that there are two choices in the poll that aren’t the first in the series. Bookshops and Bonedust is a prequel to Legends and Lattes (which came first) and The Last Devil to Die is the fourth book in The Thursday Murder Club series. I would say that you can replace it with the first one.

Audrey Most of my favorites were part of a series. One of those, A Conspiracy of Kings, you could read without reading the others but I recommend reading the others first.

So I'll have to go with Tress of the Emerald Sea as my most favorite.

Those two are probably the best choices anyway.
