For those interested, if Wars doesn't win, there's a new group associated with the Fantasy Book Club that is going to be doing series (called, plainly enough, the Fantasy Book Club Series, and it's doing Wars as its first series. It's a public group, so anyone can join...

My apologies for the tackiness of mentioning one group in another, but I thought people might like to know...

I'll have to check if I own Wars...I can't remember if I own it or I borrowed it from the library last time I read it. I know I own The Chronicles of Amber, so I'm hoping that one wins because I know were my copy is.

Silly me, I thought of Stormwarden for whatever reason, it didn't register that it's Wars of Light and Shadow...I do own those...So wichever one wins works. Just gotta go over my parents to dig out my copies of the Wars books.

I'm a member of that group too, actually, but didn't want to mention the other group's discussion here to avoid influencing the vote. Ah well.

I'm wondering if it makes more sense to refer our members to the other group if Wars of Light and Shadow wins. Otherwise we have a duplicate discussion running, which is just a waste of time (also for Janny, who is a member in both groups).

Stefan that is kind to be concerned for my schedule.

Let the group have what it wants - I admire Zelazny very much so I will be with the group whatever the outcome.

Quick clarification: despite the messages above, we're going to stick with whichever series wins here. If The Wars of Light and Shadow wins, we may go with a slightly different discussion format - instead of covering one book per month, we may do 2 chapters per week or something like that (we'll work out the details). This will allow more people to participate, and also hopefully lead to a more in-depth discussion. And of course, Janny will be here to host the discussion! If Amber wins, the books are short enough to cover one book per month, so in that case we can stick with the usual format.
