The Do-Over is such a fun YA book. I love the way Lynn Painter does YA and I was happy to end the year on a high note with this book. It had a groundhogs day retelling vibe, but the day Emily relives is Valentines Day. Once her give-a-damn is busted and she lives life the way she wants with zero consequences of course there are very real consequences. Em and Nick were both great and I loved watching her evolution and growth through this one.

Dirty Curve is one of those books I thought had a super predictable twist, but it turned out I was completely wrong. I like being caught off guard while reading, and it did just that. It started off a little rocky, as I found the hero, Tobias, rather unlikable. But by the end, I adored him. This is one that has been on my tbr for a while and I'm glad I made the time for it.

After the Night is my first Linda Howard book and it's one of those books that I've had for such a long time. I liked the writing and the heroine but I could definitely tell this was written almost 30 years ago. Unfortunately the hero wasn't very likable to me, not to mention(view spoiler)[ him checking her out and admitting he was lusting after her when she was 14 and he was 22... ew. (hide spoiler)] also the thing with the sister and her pseudo uncle was gross. I would try this author again but this was more of a miss for me than a win.

The Christmas Orphans Club was such a great holiday book. I adored this book and the characters, such a good found family story.
Hannah and Finn have been best friends since college and for different reasons they are both orphans around the holiday. Hannah literally, Finn, figuratively. So they start a Christmas tradition. As the years pass, Theo and Priya end up in their tradition as well.
As the years pass, things change, and even though there are rocky roads these friends always have each others back. It’s heartwarming and lovely and the ending was delightful. I enjoyed this one lots!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Devney Perry’s ‘The Edens series and was equally sad to see it come to an end, but excited to get Mateo and Vera’s story, especially after reading ‘Crimson River
This one didn’t have the strongest start for me, as unrequited love sometimes works for me and sometimes doesn’t especially when the fmc is the one who is in love. Vera has it so bad for Mateo and he just doesn’t seem to see her like that. Until he does.
My favorite part about this book was seeing Vera with Mateo’s daughter. It was the sweetest. I always love a single dad romance. Also, Vera had so much character growth and I think Devney does such a good job balancing the romance and feels with the suspense in this series. The Eden family is a special group and I hope we might get some next gen books in the future.

A Winter in New York by Josie Silver is a heartwarming romance that I truly enjoyed. I loved the family/found family aspect of it and even though there were way too many secrets for my liking, I still found myself loving Iris and Gio especially. It wasn't all hearts and flowers, and had a few difficult topics but overall I was so happy by the end. Definitely one of Josie Silver's better books for me.

I love Reba and I’m so happy to hear that she’s just as great as I always imagined. I loved getting so much about her life from her, and though I liked the short snippets from her friends and family earlier in the book, I wish the last third had Reba in it and not just her family and friends. Her narration and chapters were the best parts of the book for me!

Used is a strong debut novel. It's got some darker themes and is hard to read at times, so go in with caution. The romance took a backseat to the trauma and heroine's story with her abuser, I wish it was a little longer and we would have got more of Trevor and Sabra together. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this one. The audio was great.

I love fake dating, single parents, and cute kids, so this was a total win for me. Both the hero and heroine were widowed so they had that in common, also their kids were little besties which I loved.
This was super cute and sweet. Such an enjoyable listen. The ending had me smiling so big! I'm looking forward to the rest of this series.

I adore all things to do with the Wright family, and ‘Wright Together was no exception. I love a feisty heroine and a completely devoted hero. Whitt and Eve didn’t have the easiest go of it at first, but once they were all in it was perfect.
Eve has a complicated family history/home life. She’s gotten a new opportunity to work with the Wrights and this could be big for her. The only thing is she’ll be working directly with Whitt, who she had a moment with before. Whitt wanted more with Eve but Eve doesn’t do ‘more. At least, not anymore.
Whitt does what he can to convince Eve that they could be good together. Eventually, he wears her down. It’s not without it’s challenges though. Whitt was great. I loved how he was with the boss’s kid, how much he protected and cared for Eve, and how he was with his siblings. Eve with her sister had me seeing her in an entirely different light. I don’t want to spoil anything, but those situations can be so hard and she did her best and loved her sister above all.
KA Linde always writes the best contemporary romances with angst, heat, and heart. Wright Together was a great read and I’m looking forward to reading more in this world!

I mostly enjoyed this middle grade novel about two twins both dealing with something different. Once the ‘twin switch happened at camp, it was a little harder to keep track of who was who. On top of that, my copy of the guidebook was skipping constantly. I’m not sure if it was the audio quality or the app, but it took me out of the story a bit.

Starr is home for the holidays but it’s not the Christmas she had planned for. On top of being laid off right before Christmas, her sister is marrying her exboyfriend. Oye. But reconnecting with her brother’s best friend, Waylon, makes things better.
I loved Starr and Waylon together. For this being a shorter book, it had a lot of story and a lot of heart. This couple made me smile big and their romance made my heart happy. Plus, there was an emphasis on the real reason for the season and I loved that. A great read for me!
