AndEvery time I visit my childhood home, I lose some space. Here I remove some of my t-shirts, here is a drawer I can empty so my parents can use it. And every single time, I find some of my childhood treasures. This time I found all of my Egypt related books. I had so many of them which I read start to finish; I had dozens of bookmarks in them! Yeah, I can blame my love of the Stargate series and my wish to be an archaeologist (or to join the air force depending on the day you asked me). I probably read all of these books more time than I did the Harry Potter and that's an achievement!
But, there is nothing to say, even years later I still enjoy reading this and flipping through the pages brings me immense happiness. And with certainty, I can say that I will never get rid of this book. ...more

So, I've read this book several years ago, and I loved it so much, it's definitely my favourite when it comes to WANNA PLAY A GAME? type of books or movies. Last night I just had a look at my bookshelf, I saw this book (for some reason next to The Vampire Academy series, talk about system or organisation) and I felt like I needed to read this book.
Now here I am. I flew through this book, and I'm shaken. While I thought that I remembered the book very well, that was not really the truth. I forgot so many details! It was amazing.
However, I think that my tolerance for Rebecca is even lower than it was the first time around, which is the reason why this has 4 star rating and not a 5 one.
But, now I feel a bit guilty. I have so many new books to read and instead, I re-read one?...more

The Yotsuba arc is becoming a bit tedious. However, it is absolutely fabulous to watch Light's plan to unfold. This is probably one of the funniest books in the series. I had a sheet mask while reading this, and I kept smiling, so it was not sitting right around my mouth! 😂
I really like Misa (not only because she is my namesake) but because she's childish, impulsive and a bit unpredictable. I love it that Light is suddenly forced to make his plans around this ball of energy that is only bound to explode! It is so much fun. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. Not really. 😂
And Light versus L, so much fun to watch their back and forth! And I love it when you think that one of them made a fabulous move only to be overplayed by the other one.

I was writing a paper on Raven in High school, and the teacher was ecstatic that I used this as my source as well (instead of the internet as the majority of the class did. 😂)
So, thank you, Poe, that you wrote this and secured me an A and a nice note from the teacher.
This is not something I would usually read, but since it got me a good mark, I had to make an exception.
I believe that if poetry has something to say and the author wants the audience (at least the majority of it) to understand and get the message that the poem should be written in a way that it can be understood if you need to write another book to explain what you meant that you did a bad job somewhere on the way. You may not agree with me which is fine, but it's still my opinion. Thankfully this is not the case "I meant this", but I would still find it unnecessary. But hey, A!...more

Unfortunately, there was a blacklist as well and all the books I had in my mind were on it. So I had to look for a new one. And I am a bit angry that I did not know this book before! Graham Greene has a unique way how to tell a story and I really liked it.
“Death was far more certain than God.
The most interesting was the difference between Fowler and Pyle. Fowler is cynical, he saw all of it, he has no illusions. Pyle is new, full of hopes, believing in pretty theories he read about. Pyle is naive to a point where he is delusional.

I was rather young. Hard to guess but this book was published in here in 2005, so I was at least 11. So probably a bit more. Let's just say 12/13. And in my room, there was a huge library which I slowly claimed and pushed out my mum's books. But this one was still there, and for some reason, I always stared at the cover when I went to bed in the evening. So one day I decided that whatever I'm going to read it! And honestly? I don't think that the book was that great or anything. But it felt like I was doing something illegal when I read it! I think reading it in secret was more fun than reading the book.

Probably the best point of the story would be Yo-Yo. There are too many characters to focus on anything in particular. The end of the arc about Zod I honestly think that there was no reason to split the story arc about General Zod between this issue and the first one. After leaving, I still remembered this one (the story but not the title), and tried to find it somewhere but I could not find it. And when I went back, I could not even find the book. (My Grandma was not even sure what book I was talking about, a bit creepy). So when I stumbled upon this one, I realised it was the one I was searching for. I am ecstatic right now! So my review that took me really long to write somehow got deleted... :( Hate that. (Actually, it almost got lost for the second time, thankfully I was smarter this time and copied it.)
So, this is it? The end? It seems almost...sad. But definitely strange. Like I should hold a wake. Or maybe I already did.
"Everybody’s here. You’re here."
"You were there."
I finally got to the point that I could finish this series. And this remains my favourite comics series and the best thing Neil Gaiman ever created.
Unfortunately, I had a bit of a hard time remembering what happened at the end of the previous part but thankfully I managed to remember enough to enjoy this one.
"The king is dead, that's what they say. The king is dead. Long live the king.
I was a bit disappointed by the ending because I expected something truly amazing that would blow me away but the rhythm of this one was slightly off. However, I still really enjoyed it. At first, I thought that it should have ended right after the wake, the other stories seemed wrong. But then I realised it just really makes sense.
“Nobody died. How can you kill an idea? How can you kill the personification of an action?" "Then what died? who are you mourning?" "A point of view.

These are the bad guys for a reason. There is no turning them good; they will always do what they want. And I'm really getting annoyed with the "bad guy equals a coward." It's like if they want to show the world black and white.
Also, this one has on the cover "ideal start for new readers", and I could not disagree more. This is probably the worst to start with. I wonder who thought that this would be a good suggestion... ...more
