Carly's aunt Vivian worked at the Sun Down Motel as she tried to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, but one night she disappears without a trace, purse, car, and all of her belongings left behind. Carly never met her aunt Viv, but now that her mother has passed away she is desperate to find a trace of this missing part of her family.
I thought the mystery was great and the ghost parts were appropriately creepy. The author keeps you guessing about who is telling the truth and who is lying. The one problem I had with it was that I thought Carly's characterization could have been better. Despite that, I look forward to reading more of Simone St. James's work....more

This is going to be her new beginning, and the first step is reconnecting with her high school boyfriend, Ethan. On one fatal night, Hannah has a choice -- stay out with Ethan, or go home with Gabby. How impactful one single decision can be.
I'm still a newbie to TJR's oeuvre, and I thought this was really well done. The switch between timelines happens chapter to chapter, and I never felt confused about which timeline I was in, even after putting the book down and picking it back up. It was interesting to see that there were some things that happened no matter which decision Hannah made, and some things that never happened. I'm sure I'll be reading more of her books soon....more
