A really interesting read. Before, I had never thought that what clowns do is also art. But yup, sounds like it. Although one understand the point of A really interesting read. Although one understand the point of view of Hans Schnier (the clown), his fight against hypocrisy, dogma, cowardice, extremist ideologies, still one feels sorry for Marie and what she had to suffer because of his stubbornness. His love for her almost never seems to make any sense, since he never accepts her way of thinking, her wishes, her choices. It's like he chose her by mistake and stayed because he believes so much in monogamy.

I really really loved this book. I got to caught up in it that, when two friends walked by and talked to me, I didn't see nor hear anything. It made mI really really loved this book. I got to caught up in it that, when two friends walked by and talked to me, I didn't see nor hear anything. It made me feel so so much compassion and more anger than any other book before. I could barely tell it was a literary work - never once have I thought about the author, his style or his reasons to write any of it, like I usually do. I was just lost in the plot, mesmerized by it. Guess that was the point - the effect of tabloid news and sensationalism. Moreover, it was very interesting to see the "terror" and hate of the general opinion in regard to communists and anything that could come close to communism....more
