I really liked this. I thought it was well done and am glad I read it. Gay's simple yet poignant writing style made it easy to get through which was necessary because the subject matter was an obvious obstacle. I appreciated how honest Gay was through this book. She discusses very personal matters including thoughts about her family that I thought was very brave. I've been following Gay on twitter for a while so some things she said weren't new to me, but I can see how this would open others eyes to certain things....more
Like the first book, I really enjoyed the process of reading this. I guessed the twist at the end, but the mystery was still solid in my opinion and watching it unfold was still very entertaining. I liked following all the characters even though I felt like some of their conflicts were unnecessary and could've been avoided. Although I liked the characters individually as well as their platonic relationships, I wasn't a huge fan of the romantic relationships. I'm tired of love triangles. I am looking forward to the third book though and seeing where all the seeds put down in this book lead to....more
