I even had to set it down and walk away a few times, but I'm glad I didn't give up, because I learned a big lesson here.
If you are looking for something light and cheery, walk away right now. If you want something that will test you, something that will inevitably change your way of thinking, and something that will pull emotions you never even knew you had, CAM GIRL is your next obsession.
There were so many layers, so many surprises. I don't think I've ever read a book where my mind was racing the entire time. I was making lists, crossing out names, thinking about the possible outcomes, wracking my brain and talking out loud to no one at all.
Would you believe this is my first read from this author? I know! Crazy right? I'm an emotional reader, and I'm kicking myself for not reading Leah's work sooner. This author has crazy talent, giving us layer upon layer of topics that most people are too afraid to think of. This is a book that will evoke emotion, make people stop and think, help people to raise their voice in hopes that just one person will hear their pain, feel their struggle, and make a goddamn change.
Heartbreaking and beautiful. Emotionally captivating. Thought provoking. Unique and special. This goes without saying, but Leah is doing something great in the literary world, and I can't wait for more people to experience it.

I had quite a hard time with this read. I'm new to this series, so I was unfamiliar with the writing style and it just fell flat to me. I wasn't a fanI had quite a hard time with this read. I'm new to this series, so I was unfamiliar with the writing style and it just fell flat to me. I wasn't a fan of the characters at all. The secondary characters were okay, but there really was not connection there. I didn't feel any emotion towards the main characters or the storyline. The heroine was flat out annoying with her aversion to the wealthy. And the fact that the male lead kept that from her for so long made no sense. The BDSM scenes fell flat for me as well. Once again, I didn't feel any emotion during those scenes. The term Master was just thrown out there and the connection didn't feel real. So, the heroine hates wealthy people because of her past, I get it, I do. But the second she is in trouble and needs that wealth, she runs back to the hero of the story and suddenly everything is okay? I didn't like how that played out at all. I have a feeling I know who the next book is going to be about, and to tell you the truth, I'm not that interested in his story at all. Playing Hard to Master felt segmented and lacked the emotion that I crave when I read romance novels. Simply not for me....more

It didn't take long at all for me to get caught up in all of this awesomeness! Drew, Matthew, Stanton, Jake, and Brent - I have fallen for every single one of Emma's bad boys. She gives her readers the VERY BEST characters ever! They are so easy to fall in love with and so damn easy to root for. Not only does she ROCK it with the Male POV in her stories, but she brings an incredible amount of heart to them as well. Full of epic moments, sweet and tender moments, and scorching hot moments - APPEALED does NOT disappoint! A young love that is lost and found again is the best kind of romance out there. It's second chance, which is my weakness.
Talk about a sexy and emotional adrenaline rush! The perfect blend of sweet and sexy with a helpful dash of humor, APPEALED easily became a TOP FAVE of mine long before the last page was turned.
Brent and Kennedy's love story was epic, just like all of the ones before it. A masterpiece of perfection. A steamy, funny, emotionally beautiful romance that will reach to every part of your heart. It will consume you, frustrate you, devour you, and bring you the utmost satisfaction. So I leave you with a huge smile on my face and an extremely heavy heart. Who knows if this is the end. If it is, it's been one HELL of a ride. If it isn't, and the author wants to take these characters further, I will be first in line to take whatever she dishes out.
