it was ok

This book is interesting and intriguing, entertaining in it's high information load. The theory did spill over into the practical...
I was not inspired to do the practical and I did not finish the book.
I think her method could usefully inform a prayerful worshipful engagement with God about your thought life. But the emphasis would be on God not the book's methods.

Stephen James Johnson I am more than half way through the text and I am feeling similarly to you. I find that the Dr. Leaf wants to grant academic credibility to the prosperity gospel. The long and the short of her book is that we are responsible for our healing, well-beings, and the well-beings of those around us and related to us. God is sovereign, but only so much as we allow Him to influence our neurology and genetics. I appreciate the urgency of obeying the Scriptures, including those about thinking upon excellent things and keeping our thoughts captive to Christ, but we cannot overemphasize our free will and forget God's miraculous and sovereign power and plan.
