really liked it
bookshelves: 2015, audio-book, time-travel, sci-fi, futuristic

I was excited to read this book as it was the start of something new from this author. After reading the short, Sideswiped, it made me even more excited. I liked the concept of drafting, but can see where that ability could be used in the wrong way. It would take a strong person to stay on the right side of things.

Right from the start I liked Peri, but I could tell things weren't in the up and up with her. It was only as the story went on that you realized how vulnerable she was, how she depended on people for the very foundation of her life and how easy it would be for that person to screw her over. That seemed to be the crux of the story. Through out the story I wasn't sure who I could believe, who really wanted to help Peri, who was telling her the truth. Sadly even after finishing the book I'm not sure, right along with Peri. Everyone seems to have a nugget of truth. I think Peri is going to have to trust her instincts and even those may be off.

I can't wait to read the next book. I want to know just who Peri will trust, who's story will she make her own and how will she handle the one truth she learned about herself.
