Wow is about all that I can say about this book. This book was simply fantastic and so refreshing to read. I have heard it compared to The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern which I loved but this one is totally different from that book. This book blew me away. First off it's a debut novel and Stephanie Garber hit it right out of the park on this one! This book managed to capture the whimsy of Caraval and the danger of it all in one go. I loved all the characters in this and I was ALWAYS at the edge of my seat. I consistently wanted to know what would happen next and would gasp and scream at every twist and turn that happened in this book. Overall, if you want something fantastical and whimsical that will capture you and never let go I highly recommend this book. I also recommend when you buy this book to take the cover of it and look at the hardback as there are different pictures under the cover. Mine is a US cover so it has the water drop on it but the UK covers have a dress, a tent, a rose and a clock under their covers and I want to collect them all because they are so beautiful.
