The Handmaid's Tale (The Handmaid's Tale, #1)

I have had this book on my TBR for years, ever since I saw season one of the series. Of course, there are similarities to the series but there are some differences too.
The story is well ahead of it's time when you know it was written in the late seventies.
I enjoyed most of the book, as I have enjoyed the series too.
Why I gave it 4 stars is because there were parts that were a bit boring, her talking too much in her head and describing things I really didn't need to know or added to the story.
The ending was somewhat frustrating, but I understand there is a sequel to the book which I plan to read soon.
