I decided to read this book in an attempt to improve my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ reviews. Don't hold your breath. As soon as I started reading I knew I was in trouble. I couldn't remember what a gerund was and had to look it up. The last time I diagrammed a sentence was in my 8th grade public school class (1967). Thank you, Mrs. Redmond! She was a good teacher. She also taught us how to use a library card catalog. Ancient times. Later I taught many of my fellow state college freshmen classmates how to use one.

It has taken me almost two months to finish these 85 pages. I could only read a few examples at a time for them to sink in. I did not buy an English Grammar to brush up on sentence structure. Life's too short. Especially now that I'm retired and 90% of my writing is via text. I don't really need to bother as long as my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ friends remain patient. Thankfully I can't see your eyerolling over the internet. I will continue to use my "whatever sounds right to my ear" style method. If I post something and later discover a blooper, I'm not above going back and re-posting after correction. Yes, I'm one of those PIAs.

NOTE: A delightful thing I learned - E.B. White wrote Charlotte's Web!
