Oh god..... OH GODDDDD!!!!! Wow J.R. ward you have done it again!!!! Ugh this book was sooooooooooo friken amazing I’m so in love!!! I will be honest I was a little bit worried as to wether or not ward would be able to pull off another 5star romance read when the hero is a human and the heroine is a vampire... meaning stronger than the hero. I was very concerned to say the least, but my god did she ever pull it off!!! This series makes me so happy and this book is now one of my all time favourite book! This story was so beautiful and so heart warming and heartbreaking all at the same time. It was beautifully written the characters were hands down some of my favorites in the series and in book in general!
Let’s start with marissa, wow I just loved her I thought she was such a sweetheart and such a caring person that I couldn’t help but love her! She so genuine in her feelings! I loved the fact that yes Marissa was gorgeous but ward made you fall in love with her personality not her looks I really enjoyed her character!!
Now for the star of this book, the one and only Butch O’Neil good lord he is amazing I absolutely positively loved butch with my hole heart god he is just such an amazing man such an amazing person! He is described in the book as not cover boy beautiful but kind of like a scruffy handsome and boy does it ever fit, butch is so gorgeously sexy in not only how he looks but how he talks and the actions he takes. He’s such a caring funny and irresistible character and I honestly couldn’t help but to fall head over heals for him! I loved how much he LOVED and I do mean LOVED marissa with all his heart it was so sweet and heartbreaking and I honestly can’t even put into words but he’s character I just overall loved literally everything about him!
In this book you definitely feel the family aspect a lot more than with the previous books and I so very much enjoyed that! honestly if this wasn’t a romance about butch and marissa I would still read this just to see butch over coming his own walls and begin to try to become accepted in this new family that he chose. I fell in love with the background characters even more in this book than I did with the previous ones. And also I fell in love with the bond growing and developing between Vishous and butch I thought it was so very beautiful and I cannot wait to read vishous book!! I have no negative opinions on this book and I would strongly recommend it to EVERYONE!! It’s just such a beautifully written novel about 2 people that have felt left out and on the outside of everything their entire lives and then them coming together to try and find a home where they fit in which just happens to be with each other and the people they choose to surround themselves with. If you haven’t read this book, please please do it’s such a beautiful novel and it would be a dam shame for anyone to miss out on such a heartwarming and heart wrenching story!!
