(*Screams*)....this book is just wonderful...or awesome.....no words could really describe how much I like it. It has most of the stuff (*elements*) I look for in a book. There's romance, assassins, Faes, magic, prince/princess, a mask ball, puppy, competition....etc. Its like all in one. Love how the author merge all those elements together.
The story reminds me of Grave Mercy and The Inheritance Cycle. Grave Mercy because it revolves around an assassin, which is Celaena, who agrees to join a "competition" (*don't really know what to call it*) to get her freedom from a death camp (*Endovier*). Only, this one is better than Grave Mercy (*I think*). And it probably reminds me of Inheritance cycle because of the era it took place (*I have no idea what you name that era*) and also there's a map of the world in first pages of the book (*Just like Inheritance Cycle and LOTR*)!
For once, I'm actually torn between two guys! I can't decide who to like more, Chaol or Prince Dorian. I love them both equally as they have their own pros and cons. And the heroine isn't that bad either. Celaena have a really sad childhood though. I can almost imagine myself in her shoes while reading the book.
Definitely a book worth reading if you love stories with the elements I mentioned previously. Can't wait for the next book!

"How long was I asleep?" she asked again, and noticed a hint of red in his cheeks.
"You were asleep, too?"
"Until you began drooling on my shoulder.”
